Oyetola Releases #102.4m For Payment of Osun-CARES


Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has released the sum of one hundred and two million, four hundred and ten thousand (#102, 410,000.00) only for the payment of State Social Transfers (SST) and Labour Intensive Public Workfare (LIPW) beneficiaries delivery Platform of Osun Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (Osun-CARES).

This is contained in the approval of Mr. Governor through the Ministry of Youth and Sports Yemi Lawal madr available to newsmen through the agency Officer, Tayo Ogungbile.

The statement further explained that the money is for the payment of stipends of the vulnerable aged and youths across the state.

While the sum of fifty-eight million, five hundred and twenty thousand naira (#58,520,000.00) only was approved for the July-August bi-monthly stipend of the ST beneficiaries, another forty-three million, eight hundred and ninety naira (#43, 890,000.00) only was also approved for the payment of July, August and September stipends of the LIPW beneficiaries.


According to statement, the list of beneficiaries is available in the headquarters of LIPW/ST Delivery Platform of Osun-CARES domicile in the State Ministry of Youth and Sports.

It has also been sent to all the Local Government Areas and Area Office through the designated Community Development Officers.


While each of ST beneficiaries is entitled to #20,000 on bi-monthly basis, the LIPW on the other hand is entitled to #10,000 each month upon the completion of their public works within their communities.

The statement concluded that the payment is in consonance with the promise of Governor Oyetola’s continuous priority of welfare of the people of the state in the scheme of things in his governance.
