The Adamawa State police command on Wednesday arrested a 42-year-old man, Matthew Joseph, for raping and impregnating his 17-year-old daughter.
This was contained a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje and made available to newsmen.
Joseph, a resident of Yola south LGA was reported to having frequent sexual intercourse with his daughter since he divorced her mother sometime in 2019.
“The suspect took advantage of the daughter (victim) after he divorced her mother for over a year and has been having sexual intercourse with her until she got pregnant.
“Investigation so far reveals that the victim is three months pregnant and is now undergoing medical screenings,” the statement read.
