Policeman arrested for defiling 11-year-old girl in Kwara

A policeman attached to Ijagbo Police Post in the Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State has been arrested by the state command for allegedly defiling an 11- year-old girl.

The suspect, Monday Folorunsho, said to be an awaiting inspector, was alleged to have had illegal canal knowledge of the minor inside one of the rooms in the police outpost in Ijagbo on Sunday.

It was gathered that some youths in the town caught the policeman in the act.

A source said, “A policeman was caught sleeping with a little girl in their outpost by some youths in ijagbo town and it they beat up the policeman, Monday Folorunsho.

 “Folorunsho was later arrested and transferred to the state headquarters in Ilorin.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the incident.

Okasanmi said, “The matter has been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department.

He said the policeman might undergo orderly room trial depending on the outcome of the investigation.
