President Buhari Nominates New INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner For Osun, Replaces Dead Kwara FCC Nominee

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday forwarded the name of Dr Tella Adeniran Rahamon to the Nigerian Senate for consideration and confirmation as Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission in charge of Osun State.

The President also submitted the name of James Jiya Kolo to the Senate as replacement for Mr Daniel James Kolo, who he earlier nominated for appointment as a Commissioner of the Federal Character Commission representing Kwara State.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, read President Buhari’s letters during plenary on Tuesday. Lawan referred the two requests to the relevant committees of the Senate for further legislative action.
