Saka Signs New Long-Term Contract With Arsenal

Arsenal have offered Bukayo Saka a lucrative contract to commit his future to the club, according to reports.

Saka’s current contract with the Gunners is due to expire in 2024 and there are speculations he could leave the North London giants.

Premier League big boys, Manchester City and Liverpool are said to be interested in the talented player.

However, Arsenal have been working to convince the youngster to remain at the Emirates Stadium, with Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta recently claiming that it was only “a matter of time” before an agreement was reached over a fresh deal.

“We will try,” Arteta told football.london. “We both have the same intention. It’s a matter of time.”

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have now offered the attacker a long-term contract that would see him become one of the highest-paid players at the club.

The report claims that the proposed new agreement would see Saka double his wages to around £140,000 a week, and Arsenal are confident when it comes to the Englishman’s future.

Man City are believed to view Saka as the ideal replacement for Raheem Sterling, and the attacker’s desire to play in the Champions League has caused Arsenal issues during initial talks, with Arteta’s side finishing fifth in the Premier League last season, which will see them play in the 2022-23 Europa League.

Saka was in strong form for Arsenal during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.

The youngster scored 11 times and provided seven assists in 38 Premier League appearances, while he has now made 131 outings for there Gunners in all competitions, scoring 23 goals and contributing 29 assists.
