
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appealed to Lagos residents to exercise patience as he plans to resume work on Lagos roads by November.
He made this known in Lagos at the night of engagement on Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria, a programme organized by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council,(PEBEC) in partnership with the Lagos State Government, Sanwo-Olu said that the potholes have remained unfixed due to continuous rains in the city. He revealed that his administration came on board after the rains have set in which makes them currently unable to lay hands on the road because of the heaviness of the rain. So, he appealed to Lagosians that the rains will subside in November by then they will start work on the road fully.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized that Lagos city represents 0.4 per cent of the total of this country and of that number, one-third of it is water so, there will be traffic but he will certainly solve level and he will not escalate anything. ”
On the issues of police harassment towards people with laptop.He however, urged Lagos residents to relax because the entire police force will be coming to Lagos on the 29th of October for a three-days conference and the issue will be the topical matters of discussion and it will be solved permanently.
