School Resumption: Osun Students Laud Oyetola For Provision Of PPE Against Covid-19

As students in exit classes resume to school after months at home,due to the Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the world, pupils across the State of Osun have hailed Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for the provision of protective materials for them.

Majority of the students who were obviously excited to be back in school said the provision of protective materials for both teachers and students is something very commendable in the fight against the deadly virus.

The excited students described the provision of the materials by the state government as a show of love for them and a move which underlines the determination of the state Governor to fight the pandemic and give Osun students quality education.

A student of Ataoja Government High School, Osogbo, Miss Mariam Adepoju said the past months at home had not been academically rewarding,pointing out that her studies had been halted for those periods.

She commended the efforts of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola through the provision of the protective materials for both students and teachers so as to be protected from contracting the virus.

Another student at Osogbo Government High School, Master Ayomide Olaore who was obviously excited to be back in school, expressed optimism that things will continue to get better in the fight against the novel Coronavirus.

He said the efforts of the state government at curtailing the spread of the virus in the state is highly commendable and is worthy of emulation by other state governors.

The principal of Fakunle Government Unity School, Osogbo, Mrs Monisola Aluko who was excited to see her students, said she is grateful to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for making it possible for the students to resume back in school .

While thanking the governor for providing protective materials in schools across the state to protect both the teachers and students, the principal said the teachers are ready to give their best to cover lost grounds.

A teacher at Wole Soyinka Government High School, Ejigbo, Mr Rotimi Kareem expressed gratitude to Governor Oyetola for thinking about their safety through the provision of the protective materials to both students and teachers.

In an interview with journalists, Commissioner for Education, Hon. Folorunsho Oladoyin said the state government will continue put everything in place in all the schools across the state to ensure the continued safety of the teachers and students.

He however enjoined both the teachers and students to always adhere strictly to all the safety protocols rolled out by government and the Nigeria Center For Disease Control (NCDC).
