Schools’ Reopening: September 21 Resumption Date Remains Unchanged – Osun Govt

The State Government of Osun has reiterated that its scheduled date of September 21 for the reopening of schools across the state remains unchanged.

This followed insinuations in certain quarters that the earlier scheduled resumption date had been reviewed.

In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode, the government said all schools in the State will resume on September 21 for an abridged third term of the 2019/2020 academic session, as earlier announced.

The statement read in part: “We have observed the rumours making the rounds that the resumption of students across the State that was scheduled for September 21, has been suspended by the government. This is totally untrue. We enjoin parents, students and other stakeholders to discountenance the rumour.

“Schools across the State will reopen on the set date as earlier announced, and the calendar, which was designed through a rigorous technical process, takes effect from September 21.
