Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has said that the selfless service renderederd to the Nation and humanity in general by a renowned academic and Clinical Psychologist, late Professor Benedicta Yetunde Oladimeji will remain indelible and inspirational to many generations to come.

Governor Oyetola stated this today at All Soul,s Anglican Church, Oke-fia, Osogbo during a final farewell service held to honour the late University Don. professor Benedicta Yetunde Oladimeji.

Governor Oyetola who was represented at the Occasion by four(4) of his cabinet members, led by the secretary to the State Government of Osun, Prince Oluwole Oyebamiji ,alongside the Cheif Of Staff to the Governor, Dr Charles Akinola,,Commissioner for Political Affairs and Inter Governmental Relation,Hon Taiwo Akeju and the Special Adviser on Public Health, Hon Siji Olamiju explained that the life and times of the Late Professor Benedicta Yetunde Oladimeji revolved around helping people and Community service which she bestrode with superlative stride.

The Osun helmsman maintained that Prof. Oladimeji distinguished herself in human wellness in the medicine profession. He noted that the late Clinical Psycologist like proffering solutions to some of the chronic enemies of humanity such as depression, psychiatry, disillusionment and returning patients to normalcy with neither injection nor drugs..

Governor Oyetola stress further that Professor Benedicta Yetunde Oladimeji spent all her life,to give hope to the hopeless ,bringing smiles to the troubled minds and happiness to shattered homes.

Speaking further at the event, Governor Oyetola who described the late professor as “A Doctor without Injections said, she was a pride to women and a role model to the girl child whom she always advised to keep “aiming high”, “get educated” ,”Study hard” and “be sellable”

While he prayed God to grant her soul eternal repose and her husband, Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji and the Children the peace and fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, Governor Oyetola disclosed that the service to humanity that she left would be missed by the Nation and Osun State where she spent all her pofessional years.

In a sermon delivered by Rt Reverend Dr Olugbenga Babatunji admonished people to always be doing good and impact the life of people around them.

Reverend Babatunji stresses that the impact people made while alive will be their testimonial before God.

Highlight of the programme was the tribute renders by the old students of Government College ibadan in honour of the late University Don.
