The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has disclosed that former Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, is the best running mate choice for All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
The governor made this known on Friday while felicitating with the APC vice-presidential candidate on his 56th birthday, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile.
He said the former governor’s track record and contribution to Nigeria’s development at large were part of what stood him out and earned him the ruling party vice-presidential ticket.
“His penchant for diligence and contributions toward the development of Nigeria’s socio-economic and political landscape based on his service to the nation in different capacities in the past, without any iota of doubt. made him the right choice as the APC vice presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential poll,” Sanwo-Olu said.
In the statement titled, ‘Sanwo-Olu congratulates Shettima on the 56th birthday’, Sanwo-Olu described Shettima as a visionary leader.
According to him, Shettima is a committed and selfless public servant, who contributed not only to his state but Nigeria as a whole, as an experienced banker, respected politician and public officer.
