SUBEB Lauds Oyetola On Basic Education Development

The administration of governor Adegboyega Oyetola will go down in history as one that has given the needed human face to the concept of basic education throughout the state in a manner hitherto seen to be a tall dream by the previous administrations .
This cheering news in the state might not be unconnected with the special passion of the governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, for education since he became on board in the last four years .
The Executive Secretary, SUBEB,Osun,Mr Adeoye Bakare disclosed these among others while fielding questions from newsmen on the achievements of Osun SUBEB in the last four years.
Mr Adeoye who was particularly elated and happy by the strides made and still being made by Osun SUBEB in the last four years noted that Oyetola has written his name in gold as far as basic education for all students and pupils of primary and JSS schools is concerned.
Drawing inferences from different perspectives of the achievements made by Osun SUBEB,Adeoye told journalists that as parts of efforts aimed basically at ensuring the smooth running of public primary schools ,68 blocks comprising 392 classrooms are currently on ground in different local governments of the state.
The 68 blocks , according to him are also furnished with all necessary facilities so as to serve as conducive learning environments for not only the school children but their teachers throughout the state .
The Osun SUBEB Executive Secretary added that the administration of Mr Adegboyega Oyetola is always in a hurry to accede to the yearnings and aspirations of both students and their teachers in public primary and junior secondary schools throughout the state .
To further attest to the many strides made and still being made which has earned Osun the toga of a model to beat in basic education sector in Nigeria,Adeoye told the visiting journalists who were on an official working visit to his office that enrollment figures in all public schools in Osun is steadily moving at a geometrical progression because of a conducive learning environment being put in place from time to time for the learners and teachers .
Adeoye emphasized “I must tell you that Osun has never had it so good and beautiful in the last four years as far as basic education is concerned.
“Our state is blessed with a governor who can be likened to a trailblazer in all education sectors whose first priority among other competing priorities in the state is education.
“Governor Oyetola is a person who believes so much and passionately too,in the concept of catching them young ( school children) in line with the fact that if given the necessary support and attention while still in their teens , the better and easier for them in their other future educational aspirations .
” The governor will further tell you that once their foundation is sound and solid through basic education, all other educational attainments by these school children would be easily attained ” declared Adeoye.
In addition to the construction of 68 blocks of school buildings of 392 classrooms throughout the state which are already in place , Adeoye also told the visiting journalists in his office that about 60 different government public primary schools got the official nod of the governor for immediate repairs and complete renovations in the last four years in the state.
The gestures of the governor in these and other directives according to Mr Bakare are tailored towards making teaching and learning conducive for teachers and their students/pupils .
