Two robbery suspects burnt to death in Imo

Two suspected robbers were, on Thursday, burnt to death at Awo Mbieri in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.

The motorcycle with which they operated was also burnt by irate villagers before the arrival of policemen.

It was learnt that the villagers had dispersed before policemen from the Mbieri Divisional Headquarters got to the scene.

A source told our correspondent that luck ran out on the suspects when brave villagers chased after and apprehended them.

The source said, “The robbers had successfully operated but some brave villagers went after them and they fell and were arrested by the villagers. Immediately, jungle justice was administered on them.
