UNIOSUN set to honour Akinrinade, Adeyemi, and Yusuf with Honorary Degrees


… As School conducts 10th convocation ceremonies
Osun State University, under the leadership of Professor Labode Popoola is set to confer honorary degrees on three notable individuals whose works have positively impacted lives in society.
The honorary awardees of the 10th UNIOSUN convocation ceremonies are: Alhaji Dr. Kamoru Ibitoye YUSUF, the CEO of Kam Holdings Nigeria Limited; Alhaji Murthada Adeniji ADEYEMI, CEO Starlink Global & Ideal Limited; and General Alani Ipoola AKINRINADE, CFR, GCON, a retired Military General, a wartime hero, and a statesman par excellence.
These reputable men of valor would receive their honorary degrees during the 10th convocation ceremonies, on Tuesday, the 21st day of September, 2021 at the Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium on the main campus of the University in Osogbo.
For the 10th convocation ceremonies of Osun State University, a total number of one thousand eight hundred and fifteen (1,815) graduands will be conferred with first degrees across the Colleges of the University, and two hundred and six (206) postgraduate degree and Diploma graduands will also be conferred with Postgraduate Degrees and Diplomas.
Out of the one thousand eight hundred and fifteen graduands, thirty five (35) which represent 1.93% of the total number of graduands have academically distinguished themselves from their peers, and would be awarded first class degrees. Five hundred and forty-four (544) which represent 29.97% of the total number of graduands will be awarded Second Class (Upper) degrees, nine hundred and thirty-seven (937) which represent 51.63% of the total number of graduands made Second Class (Lower), two hundred and eighty-nine (289) which represent 15.92% of the total number of graduands made Third Class, while only ten (10) graduands which represent 0.55% of the total number of graduands will be awarded the pass degrees in various undergraduate programmes. This will bring the total number of first degrees awarded by the University since its first graduation in 2011 to thirteen thousand eight hundred and fifty-six (13, 856).
