
The General Manager, Small Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, Mrs Toyin Asaolu has said Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration resolve to provide sustainable water supply in rural communities across Osun State was aimed at ensuring that dividends of democracy touch every nook and cranny of the state
Mrs Asaolu who stated this on IMOLE AYO, a sensitization programme, promoting the activities of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration on OSBC Radio and Television explained that this gesture was currently addressing challenges facing the water sector in the state
According to her, the challenges facing water supply system in rural areas over the years has increased the dependency of rural dwellers on polluted surface water sources
“The water scheme in Esa Oke is being rehabilitated in phases as residents of the ancient town are now enjoying potable water supply, provided by the senator Ademola Adeleke’s administration.
“This is part of the Governor’s efforts at making live easy for all and sundry and to spread the benefits to every part of the state.
“We are happy with the acceptance and support from the communities that have benefitted from it and we urge them to maintain the project for it to last longer. We also promise that the gesture is a continuous project of the present administration that will spread across all communities,” said, Mrs Asaolu.
She assured the residents of okuku, igbaye, inisa, Toto, igege, Oluponna among others that, water schemes in their areas will be rehabilitated as soon as the ongoing rehabilitation work in Esa Oke is completed
