
Osun State Deputy Governor, Mr Benedict Alabi has implored Nigerians to continue to pray for their leaders particularly in this trying times, saying the country can overcome its challenges if we all turn to God
Mr. Alabi gave the charge on Sunday while addressing the congregation at St Anthony catholic Church, Aagba.
The Deputy Governor said it becomes imperative for both the leaders and followers to work together to make the system better and for the good of the nation.
He said “my people, I admonish us all to continue to comply with God’s instructions. These periods are trying times for us in Nigeria and I believe the challenges are surmountable. Let’s all turn to God and seek his mercy. He is a merciful God and can bring back the Nigeria of our dreams.
“I also enjoin us to abstain from sins in order to obtain God’s mercy for the transformation and development of the country,” said the Deputy Governor
In his homily, the Parish Priest, Rev Fr Augustine Famoriyo enjoined the populace to repent from their sinful lives and cultivate the attitude of forgiving one another.
The man of God advised all to desist from any act that can grieve the holy spirit saying the lord is merciful to hear their pleas
The Deputy Governor who identified with Mr Atilola Odudare during the family harvest Thanksgiving was also presented a special gift by the men’s Association of the church.
