West Brom vs Arsenal: Conte takes decision on replacing Arteta

Former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager, Antonio Conte, has “little interest” in taking over at Arsenal, the UK Independent reports.

Conte feels “he cannot compete with the team as it is”.

Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta, is under pressure at the club following a miserable start to the 2021/2022 season.

Arsenal has already lost to Brentford and Chelsea, without scoring a single goal in their two Premier League fixtures.

Arteta has finished in the eighth position twice in a row and this year, Arsenal dropped out of European competitions altogether.

The Spaniard still retains the backing of the board, but speculations insist he has a five-game ultimatum to turn the fortune of the club around.

Although Conte has been mooted as a possible replacement, the Italian who also turned down Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham, will not be keen on the job.
