THE Ekiti State Police Command on Wednesday arraigned a 20-year-old woman, Sale Obanla, before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court for allegedly assaulting a police sergeant.

The prosecutor urged the court to adjourn the case to enable him to study the case file and assemble his witnesses.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to her.

Counsel for the defendant, Mr Adebowale Adelusi, urged the court to grant his client bail and promised that the defendant would not jump bail.
