Yesterday, at the reception in honour of the late Princess Felicia Olayonu Adefila (Mayegun of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Ora Igbomina), the mother of Mr. Femi Adefila, the Chief Executive Officer of Rave FM, Osogbo, Osun State, Mr. Adefila described the State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, as a cool, amiable, calm and collected fellow who has refused to give journalists headline stories because of his personality.
Adefila went further by saying, “Journalists love controversies but Mr. Governor, you have refused to give them such stories because of your style of governance and your person”.

Earlier, in a condolence message personally signed by Mr. Governor, he had described the late mother of Mr. Femi Adefila as a loving mother, an exemplary leader and a devout Christian who was committed to service.
Oyetola urged the Rave CEO and his siblings to continue to bear the legacy of the matriarch with high sense of responsibility and equanimity in their chosen endeavours.
The condolence message reads: “On behalf of the Government and the good people of the State of Osun, I write to express deep condolences to you and the entire members of your lovely family on the passing of your mother, Princess Felicia Olayonu Adefila, at the age of 84.

“The death of a loving mother, especially a dotting one who committed everything to bring up lovely and illustrious children, is a painful one.
“But the rich memory of a fulfilled and exemplary life is enough consolation and pride as mama led and left behind a life of service and integrity in the Lord’s vineyard — Saint Stephen’s Anglican Church, Ora Igbomina — where she was the Mayegun, and the ancient town where she was a Community Leader.

“Mama passed the torch of service to you and your siblings even when she was still here with us and you bore it creditably to her joy.
“I trust that you and your siblings will continue to bear this legacy with a high sense of responsibility and equanimity in your chosen endeavours.

“I appreciate God’s benevolence and grace of age on Mama and I pray that He will grant the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss”.
