Osun West Senatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 General Election, Akogun Lere Oyewumi has lauded efforts of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hammola Int’l Football Club, Muhydeen Odeyemi for people of his community, describing him as a young, grassroot political mobiliser.
Akogun Oyewumi stated this on Tuesday at his residence in Ikire during a courtesy call by the PDP youths of Egbedore and the management of Hammola FC.
The former ALGON Chairman said “I am elated to hear all that you’re doing for people of your community. I want to tell you that in this life, money is blind, deaf and dumb but the best way to spend it is to assist people. The reward for those who give out from what they are blessed with is more goodies from God. Money has no value if it’s not spent and it commands high value if spent on the rightful way. This is why I commend your efforts and I urge others to learn from you.”
Speaking on the upcoming election and his expectations from people of Osun West, Akogun Oyewumi said “we thank God for the victory of PDP during the gubernatorial election but it’s not over yet. We should not relax but work hard to ensure that all PDP candidates emerge winners across all levels in the 2023 general election.
Earlier in his remarks, CEO, Hammola Int’l FC, Muhydeen Odeyemi stated that all youths in Ido Osun are loyal members of the PDP and would work for the success of the party come 2023.
“Then, it was opposition party that used to win in many wards in Ido Osun but the story has changed. During the gubernatorial election, I personally mobilised hundreds of youth in Ido Osun for Senator Adeleke and he won massively. We have also concluded plans to do.the same thing for you and other PDP candidates. This has started with the customized campaign vehicle and I assure you that the entire Ido Osun youth is for the PDP.”
‘Odhelee’ who similarly highlighted the performance of his club, Hammola FC said his desire was to produce national stars that will reach the podium of success in the world of football. He used the opportunity to invite Akogun Oyewumi to the grand finale of the ongoing Hammola Football Championship holding next month.
highpoint of the visit was the donation of a customized vehicle in support of campaign for Senator Ademola Adeleke, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other PDP candidates in the 2023 elections
Also on the trip to Ikire were the Director of Hammola FC, Mutiu Odeyemi, Mr. Olawale Adebisi, Comrades Ayansina Kazeem, Adewuyi Kazeem, Abdullateef Hammed, Ayokunle Olajugba and Ibrahim Isiaq.
