Three men were, on Friday, docked in an Iyaganku Magistrate Court, Ibadan, for allegedly attempting to steal a cow worth N150,000.

Oyo State Police Command charged Usman Abubakar, 25; Nura Yusuf, 25 and Usman Ibrahim, 28  with conspiracy and theft.

The prosecution counsel, Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendants allegedly committed the offence last month in the Siro Igboho area, Ibadan.

Amusan said the defendants attempted to steal the cow belonging to Malam Sheu Bello.

The offence, he said, contravenes the provisions of sections 516 and 509 of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs O. A. Akande, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N30,000 with one surety each in like sum.

She adjourned the case until January 18 for a hearing.
