Ido-Osun Based Nationwide League One (NLO) outfit, Hammola International Football Club have unveiled 27 man-squad ahead of the 2022/23 Football League season.
The unveiling was done on Wednesday at the Osogbo Township Stadium, Osun State shortly before another pre-season friendly against an Ilorin-based soccer giants, SGF Athletics which ended 2-2.
Top on the squad are experienced players such as Abdullah Gbotemi, Olajugba Ayokunle, Nifemi Adeola and the skipper Ganiyu Moruf as well as a few newly recruited young stars who have promised to help “Lee Bombers” gain promotion to the Nigeria National League after missing out last season.
Speaking with the media, the Chief Executive Officer of the Club, Muhydeen Odeyemi said “what we are doing today is a testament to our long-standing efforts of running football in line with the international best practices. We are constantly driven by the need to remain a role model for others to emulate since the establishment of Hammola FC in 2020 and we never deviate from that.
“In our efforts to meet the target, we signed a few players during the break while some of our players renewed their contracts. Currently, Hammola is made up of young players and our major target remains the promotion ticket to the NNL,” said Odhelee.
‘Lee Bombers’ who will play all their matches at the Osogbo Township Stadium are drawn in the Group C1A of the NLO alongside Osun United, HMK, Fehinty, Igbajo United, Pegba 1 Sporting FC and Victory Police
