Oloba Oke with Covid-19 Palliative Committee 

A frontline in the State of Osun, the Oloba of Oba Oke, Adam Iyiola Yusuf Esutola II has lauded sons and daughters of the ancient town, particularly those who donated for the palliative used in cushioning effects of the lockdown as a result of Covid-19 pandemic, saying the gesture, which according to him should be done annually, will forever be in the book of record of the town
Oba Adam, who stated this in his residence when he received in audience, members of Oba Oke Covid-19 Palliative Committee led by the Chairman, Mr. Yusuf Yunus saluted the courage, wisdom and meticulous process which led to the success of the distribution of the palliative across the nooks and crannies of the town and to those who actually needed it.
“I salute the entire committee members for the initiative and the entire process used in selecting beneficiaries, which cut across all compounds in Oba Oke as well as the aliens who reside in Oba Oke. The gesture actually solved difficulties and challenges people are going through as a result of the lockdown and poverty’, said Oba Adam.
He continued that “Your insightful statecraft to include herdsmen and other tribes such as Agatus, Idomas, Tivs, fishermen and corps members, as well as judicious spending of the donations have proved your worth as a committee of intelligent young people who are honest, reliable, prudent and blessed with managerial and administrative acumen to solve societal problems.
“As I pray God to bless you and all donors as well as the entire people of the town, I also pray God to heal the world of the pandemic while I advise that we should follow the government’s directives such as social distancing, washing of hands among others in order not to be victims of the disease’, concluded the Oloba Oke.
