COVID-19: Nigeria records zero deaths with 423 new cases

Nigeria recorded 423 fresh cases of COVID-19 across the country with no deaths as of Thursday, January 13, 2022.

This was revealed by the recent COVID-19 Update made available by the National Centre for Disease Control, on Friday.

The breakdown of the NCDC data shows that Lagos State, topped the infection chart with 120 cases, followed by Rivers State with 118 cases.

Anambra State ranked third on the log with 38 cases, while the FCT and Gombe State closely followed with 32 and 31 cases respectively.

Kaduna State reported 21 cases, Oyo, 14; Benue, 11; Cross River, 10; and Kwara State with 9 cases.

While the Borno and Kano states reported five cases each, Bauchi and Jigawa states reported three cases each

Furthermore, Abia, Ogun, and Sokoto states have a single case each.

The update revealed that Plateau and Katsina had no reported cases.

Meanwhile, the NCDC reported that Nigeria had 25,000 active cases and 3,902 deaths from Covid-19 as of January 2022.
