The super eagles started converging in Asaba Yesterday as the countdown began for Friday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.

Three-time African champions have already made sure of a place at the Africa Cup of Nations holding in Egypt this summer, and the encounter against Seychelles is hardly more than an academic affair on Friday in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier and take on Egypt on March 26 at the same Stephen Keshi Stadium.

The team is using the encounter to prepare for the event, which will be hosted by their second opponents in the two-match series, Egypt.

Already in camp are goalkeepers, Francis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi, as well as Utin, Effiong and Enyimba’s Valentine Ozornwafor, Forward Odion Ighalo and midfielders Alex Iwobi and Semi Ajayi were among the first arrivals in the Super Eagles’ camp along with home-based Players led by the coach Gernbot Rohr.

Also, Torino of Italy defender, Ola Aina and Bordeaux forward, Samuel Kalu have been ruled out of Nigeria’s last African Nations Cup qualifier against Seychelles and the international friendly billed for Asaba this weekend and early next week.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the bulk of the invited group of 23 including the big boys will come in today.
