The management of Osun United sympathises with Knight FC following the sudden death of the team’s Supporters’ Club’s Chairman Mr. Bashir Akanbi.
The management, in a statement by the team’s media officer through the Vice President, Mr Layi Adesiyan described the death of Mr. Akanbi as shocking and a huge loss to football community in Ile Ife and Osun State.
“It’s shocking to hear of the death of Mr. Akanbi who was a big pillar behind Knight FC. We therefore condole with Knight FC and Ile Ife FA and pray God to give his family the fortitude to bear the loss,” said Mr. Adesiyan.
Until his death, Mr. Akanbi was one of the loyal supporters of Osun United and a member of Football Coaches Association in Ile Ife.
