Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on his part, said among those recently confirmed were a journalist based in Ore and a clergy man.

Akeredolu said the journalist was in contact with the 28th confirmed case while the clergy man died while receiving medical attention.

He said an America citizen who visited his family and got infected died before results of his samples returned.

According to him, “Things do not look very good. Since my last address, we have recorded 19 new cases of COVID-19. This additional 19 cases is a significant rise from where we are before now. It is fearful and alarming from what we have seen so far. The threat is alarming than ever before.

“Our greatest fear is here. We have to choose between life and death. The threat level remains high.”
