The Ondo State Police Command has arrested two robbery suspects for allegedly killing a filling station attendant identified as Bolakale on Tuesday night.

The suspects; Emmanuel James and Wisdom Richard, and other members of a robbery gang stormed the Farbas Filling Station located at Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital, and shot dead the deceased while one Kazeem, another attendant, was also shot in the leg by the bandits.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Tee-Leo Ikoro, said the suspects were arrested shortly after they had committed the crime.

He said the suspected robbers engaged the police in a gun duel before two of the gang members were apprehended.

Ikoro said, “For long, there hasn’t been such attack in Ondo State; that is to tell you that the rate of crime in Ondo State is minimal, and with this occurrence, our men immediately swung into action, leading to the arrest of two of the hoodlums. We are still after the fleeing robbers.”

He said the injured was receiving treatment at a hospital, while the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue of the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Akure

The PPRO listed guns, cartridges, mobile phone and charms as some of the items were recovered from the suspected robbers.
