Two Nigerian Women Referees Listed for Women Nation’s Cup
The ranking of international referees from Nigeria has continued to improve with the Confederation of African Football finding two of the FIFA badged referees in the women category worthy to be among the officiating crew of the Women Nation’s Cup, known as WAFCON.

A statement from Kelechi Mejuobi, National Publicity Secretary of the Nigeria Referee Association said CAF has selected Enugu based Ndidi Amaka Patience Madu and Mimisen Verite Iyorhe of the Benue council among the women referees in Africa picked for the soccer fiesta.

While Madu who was in Tokyo for last year’s Olympic Games as a referee for the Women’s football has been on FIFA and CAF list for major soccer events of women, Mimisen Iyorhe before now was shortlisted for the coming FIFA U-20 world cup after exploits in other women and men tournaments in Africa.

The Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, wishes the two ambassadors best of luck and journey mercies.
