The Osun State Police command has dismissed the rumour making the round that there was anarked robbery attack in Iree.
Reca that the purpoted video of fake bank robbery in Iree was trending on social media.
A release by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Yemisi Opalola urged memnera of the public to disregard the video, saying it was not through.
The release read in parts “The Osun State Police Command’s attention has been drawn to news making the rounds and video trending on social media that; there was a bank robbery and attack on Police Station On Tuesday,20th September 2022 at Iree.
“The Osun State Police Command wishes to inform the members of the public that, the news and trending video on social media was the Iree bank robbery operation that took place on 5th August 2021, not recently as being mischievously circulated.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, psc wishes to state that, the news/video is misinforming, misleading, and a calculated attempt to cause apprehension or state of insecurity in the state by some unscrupulous elements.
