Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has called on the Federal Government to try suspected oil thieves for treason.
Gbajabimila made this call while presenting the vote of thanks after President Muhammadu Buhari laid the 2023 Appropriation Bill, titled: “Budget of fiscal sustainability and transition” to a joint session of the Ninth National Assembly in Abuja.
He said that there has been disquiet in the House following ongoing massive oil theft in the country.
The Speaker, just like the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, called for urgent measures to curb the malaise.
