The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday inaugurated the party’s presidential campaign team.
Speaking at the inauguration held on Wednesday, the Director General of Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Management Committee in Osun State, Hon Sunday Bisi, described the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as the most experienced” presidential candidate for 2023 general election.
Bisi said: “It is with great pleasure I welcome stakeholders of our great party to the formal Inauguration of the presidential campaign team of our party in Osun State as performed by the Governor and leader of the party in the state, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.
“We have a task of cementing the heroics of our people at the last Governorship Election in the state. We have a task to cushion the seat of leadership of the state for the Governor-Elect in our State. We have a task to lead the way in electing Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come February 2023.
“Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a goldfish and he is not hiding for the task at hand. He is the most experienced of all the contenders in the coming election. He has belled the cat of a prepared candidate.
“He is fit like a fiddle. He is neither dangling nor shaking away from responsibilities expected of a presidential job seeker in a complex nation like Nigeria. Waziri is ready and we cannot lag behind as his lieutenants and partners in the victory race.
“Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, since his emergence as the candidate of our great party has demonstrated beyond doubts, he is prepared for the job he seeks from Nigerians.
“He has updated his policy documents in partnership with avalanche of best brains amongst our teeming youths, to ingrain the present realities of dear nation.
“He has advanced security as the main thrust of his agenda and we cannot agree with him less. The country is sinking on cracking security basement, requiring a pan Nigerian patriot like Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for retrieval intervention.
“Our party in Osun State, is poised to lead the way and galvanize support of our people to deliver Nigeria with an overwhelming victory.
“If there’s any entity in the country the National Leadershp of our party can count on for a bumper harvest of votes, Osun will stand to be counted.
“I urge us to walk the talk of crowning Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the next president of Nigeria. Though, the road may not be rossy, but the victory is certain and will be sweet,” he said.
