42 suspected cases of coronavirus have tested negative in Kano State.
The Commissioner of Health announced this while giving an update COVID-19 pandemic to reporters.
According to him, results for other samples on the suspected coronavirus cases are yet to be released.
He said though the state was yet to record any confirmed case, it would maintain vigilance in the fight against the virus.
He urged residents of the state to always abide by the advice of health experts.
The Commissioner, also dismissed a fake video clip being circulated on social media, on an alleged COVID-19 patient being evacuated by health workers at Sabo Gari area of the metropolis.
According to him: ” To keep the record straight and dispel the rumour making the round, a call was received at the COVID-19 call centre of a sick person suspected to be having the virus upon which a rapid response team was instantly drafted to the location at ljebu road in Sabon Gari.
The suspected case was identified and his sample taken for examination, the result came out negative.”
