June 12 Democracy Day
June 12 Democracy Day

APC in the state of Osun has called on Nigerians to celebrate democracy day knowingly, because it is for a strategic battle won.

This is the highlight of the statement from the party’s directorate of publicity, signed and circulated by its director, Barr Kunle Oyatomi to the media in Osogbo.

According to the apc, there is good reason to celebrate democracy day nationally for the first time with a strong reason to be alert and conscious of the lesson of perseverance which today’s event teaches.

The party said it is only just today that Nigeria has come to acknowledge the Irrecusable relevance of June 12, 1993 to the establishment of democracy in the country. The APC therefore urged Nigerians not to forget the dozens of people (including the icon himself, Chief Mko Abiola) who had been killed in the attempt to stifle democracy in Nigeria. Addind that Osun is proud to have been part of those in the forefront of the battle to actualize June 12
