The Governing Council of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State, has approved the appointment of Prof. Noah Yusuf, as the new Vice-Chancellor of the university.
According to a statement by the Registrar and Secretary to the Council of the university, Dr R.M. Oladimeji, the council at its 30th meeting on July 6 approved Yusuf as the 5th Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
Yusuf is the current Director, Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies of the university.
“Yusuf began his academic career in 1992 with his appointment as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, University of Ilorin. The New Vice-Chancellor rose through the ranks to become a professor in October, 2012,” the statement read in part.
