Some gunmen on Saturday attacked a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) belonging to a former executive director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Mr. Samuel Adjogbe.
The attack occurred between Ughelli and Evwreni on the East-West Road.
One person was reportedly shot in the head, it was gathered.
The former NDDC director of projects, who confirmed the incident in a telephone chat, said the gunmen shot repeatedly at his Lexus 570 Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), particularly the back seat.
Adjogbe said he was not in the vehicle when the gunmen attacked but added that his driver was shot in the head.
A police source confirmed the incident.
