Bauchi Governor

Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, has sacked all political office holders including caretaker committee chairmen in all the 20 local government areas of the state.

Also affected by the sacking are chairmen and members of boards of extra-ministerial departments, special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants and personal assistants appointed by his predecessor, Mohammed Abubakar.

The senior special assistant to the governor on media, Mukhtar Gidado, stated this in a statement in Bauchi.

The statement indicated that the action was with immediate effect, directing those affected to prepare their handover notes to the permanent secretaries or the most senior directors.

Gidado clarified that chairmen and members of statutory commissions comprising civil service commission, judicial service commission, state independent electoral commission and assembly service commission were not affected by the development.
