The Buhari Media Organisation has dismissed reports that Boko Haram members receive as much as $3,000 daily as against what Nigerian troops receive.
The group said rather, the true situation was that the insurgents were in disarray, lacking in supplies, foodstuffs, and logistics.
In a press release signed by its Chairman, Niyi Akinsiju, and secretary, Cassidy Madueke, in Abuja. The BMO said the current unenviable state of the terrorist was due mainly to the renewed offensive by the Nigerian Military.
The group claimed that reports emanating from the theatre of war indicated that the terrorists had been decimated and incapable of committing atrocities like before.
The group therefore commended the Nigerian Military for their commitment towards eradicating the scourge of insurgency in the North-East of the country, in line with the policy of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
