Arsenal hero, Paul Merson, has claimed that Chelsea new signing, Romelu Lukaku, is ‘the last person’ the Gunners will want to come up against given the defensive frailties they showed in their Premier League defeat to Brentford last Friday.
Arsenal will host Chelsea on August 22 at Emirates Stadium following their 2-0 defeat to Brentford.
Lukaku, who joined Chelsea from Inter Milan, is expected to feature against Arsenal.
The Belgium international missed Chelsea’s 3-0 victory against Crystal Palace at the weekend.
“You think when Lukaku plays against them[Arsenal]? My God,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“You know what I mean. He is the last person you want to play against if you are Arsenal, the last person.”
Lukaku scored 64 goals in 95 games for Inter Milan during his time in Italy.
