Wife of the president, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has urged children in the country to take online learning seriously.
She stated this today while congratulating the leaders of tomorrow on the occasion of the 2020 international children’s day.
Mrs. Buhari said despite the corona virus pandemic that necessitated the closure of schools in the country, the education of the girl-child must be sustained.
According to the Nigerian first lady, this year’s event is special because it is the first to be celebrated indoors due to the covid-19 pandemic.
She maintained that the theme for this year which is promoting girl-child education for sustainable development means that despite the present challenges, stakeholders must ensure that girl-child education is sustained in terms of quality and scale.
