Celebrity dancer, Kafayat Shafau, popularly known as Kaffy, has lost her dad, hours after she revealed that she survived an ailment that almost took her life.

She made this known on Tuesday via her Instagram page as she shared a picture of a candle, with the caption, “#RIP DAD”.

Kaffy’s announcement comes a day after she talked about how she survived from a fatal ailment via same platform.

She had written, “Lungs collapsing, eyes changing color, belly swelling, taking breathe feeling like pain. I was slipping into the dangerous sleep but mercy said no!”

“Thank you God for another chance. A lot don’t make it through these avoidable deaths. I am not better than them , I am grateful for your mercy. “Not today, said the Lord.”

“Be careful some medication can be lethargic to your system there are allergies we might not know of. God protect you all.”

After the announcement of her father’s death, colleagues and fans of the 41-year-old dancer took to the comment section to condole her for her loss.

Media personality, Laura Ikeji, condoled with her saying, “Sorry Kaffy, accept my condolences.”

Nollywood actress, Sharon Ooja, commented, “So so sorry. May God strengthen you.”

Kaffy, however, did not mention the day her father died or the cause of his death.

Efforts to reach the dancer proved abortive as her phone lines were unreachable.
