The Osun State Police Command in its effort to ensure crime free State has emplaced adequate security mechanisms ahead of this year EID-EL FITRI celebration.
The Commissioner of Police is re-assuring the good people of the State and all travelers of the readiness and preparedness of State Command to guarantee safety of lives and property in all major and strategic locations during this period and beyond.
Just as he is assuring the people of the State, the command will continue to work assiduously to make the state a sanctuary for all people to reside. He appeals to members of the public to cooperate with the security personnel detailed for the assignment to curb any act of crime and criminality.
He enjoins members of the public to comport themselves in accordance with the provisions of the law as police personnel would be deployed for special duties at the Mosques, Eid praying grounds, recreations/shopping centres and strategic points to nip in the bud unforeseen criminal activities which may cause any break down of law and order.
More so, they should be vigilant and promptly report any suspicious movement or infraction of the law to the Police for immediate action.
