The FIFA World Cup 2022 hosted by Qatar has seen footballers sustain different injuries.
While some were able to bounce back, others have been ruled out of the tournament due to the severity of the injuries.
Danilo sustained an injury during Brazil’s opening match versus Serbia which ruled him out at least until the Round of 16.
Alex Telles picked up a knee injury during Brazil’s loss to Cameroon and will be out for the remainder of the tournament.
Telles could need surgery which would also sideline him for a further period of time when he returns to Sevilla.
Gabriel Jesus also picked up a knee injury during Brazil’s loss to Cameroon and will be out for the remainder of the tournament.
Jesus’ injury isn’t thought to be as serious as Telles’ which will see his Premier League club Arsenal breathe a sigh of relief as they’re in the midst of a title challenge.
At the moment, Jesus is expected to return to play in the New Year for Arsenal.
Nuno Mendes sustained a thigh injury 42 minutes into Portugal’s clash with Uruguay.
The injury resulted in his withdrawal before the half-time whistle.
