State Government of Osun has assured all residents that promises of good governance made by Governor Ademola Adeleke to improve people’s welfare will be fulfilled to letter.
Governor Adeleke made this known while commissioning boreholes with reticulation in Oba Oke and Oba Ile In Olorunda North Local Council Development Area of the state.
Recall that the state government, in conjunction Osun State Community and Social Development Agency CSDA and Osun Care have been engaging in some micro projects including schools renovations and sinking of boreholes to provide portable water supply for the people
Commissioning the 7 boreholes with reticulation in both towns, Governor Adeleke who was represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi noted that deadly diseases emanates from dirty and non-portable water, hence his administration’s resolve to do everything possible at ensuring that residents of the state gets access to portable water supply.
The Governor maintained that his vision was to ensure that the impact of good governance was felt by every citizen, community and institution in the state, adding that every necessary infrastructure meant to serve the people of the state would be fixed.
The governor also assured the people of Oba Oke and Oba Ile that the road that links the towns with Osogbo would be fixed.
In her address the General Manager Osun State Community and Social Development Agency Mrs.Funmi Abokede lauded the humanitarian gesture of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osun State, saying the water project would improve quality of life of residents of the communities.
In their goodwill messages, Head of Olorunda North Local Council Administration, Mr Rasaq Adeyemo who was represented by Mrs Dorcas Faremi and the Coordinating Director Ministry Of Rural And Community Development, Mr.Segun Ogunrinlade, represented by Mrs Obiremi described the project as an attestation to the fact that people living in the council area will benefit more of democratic dividends from the present administration.
Appreciating the Governor and Osun CSDA, Oloba of Oba Oke, Oba Adam Yusuf Esutola II and some leaders of Oba- Ile Community Mr. Taliat and Kunle Ojetola said the present administration has demonstrated to the world that governance is all about impacting humanity. They assured the Governor of maximum support to his administration.
At Oba Oke, four boreholes were sunk at Laroowu, Awoyale, Adamo and Garage Area of the town
