The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has described his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, as the Northern Star, stressing that he has remained constant and unshakable while speaking truth to power.
Ortom made the assertion on Monday in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur, to felicitate with Wike on his birthday today, December 13, 2021.
Governor Ortom expressed happiness over the birthday celebration, saying he is proud to call Governor Wike a friend and brother.
He emphasised that the Rivers Governor has “shown through character and resilience that speaking truth to power is an essential ingredient to the social, political and economic re-engineering of the society. You have remained unshakable and constant like the northern star in the pursuit of truth, fairness and justice to all.”
The Governor prayed that God Almighty will grant Governor Wike good health, wisdom and courage in the years to come.
