Former Accountant-General of Cross River State, Mrs. Rose Bassey, has been abducted by some gunmen.
Information gathered that Bassey was abducted alongside three yet-to-be-identified persons along Uyanga-Ikomita axis of the Calabar-Ikom
She was Accountant-General under the administration of Donald Duke.
They were abducted by gunmen who laid siege on the Uyanga-Ikomita of the busy highway by shooting at the travelers to force them to stop.
Report says the incident while Bassey was reportedly on her way back from her farm at Ekpri Iko after Iwuru in Biase Local Government Area (LGA).
Newsmen confirmed the story this morning.
Similarly, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Irene Ugbo confirmed the incident and said the Command is working to see that the four abducted persons regain freedom unharmed.
