Hajj 2022: All Osun Pilgrims Return

With the return of 155 Muslim Pilgrims from the Osun State on Wednesday, 20th of July, the State has become the first in Nigeria to safely conclude the Hajj Operation.

Disclosing this to newsmen at the Hajj/Cargo Terminal of the Muritala Muhammed Airport, the Amirul Hajj ,Hajj Maruf Ishola said”You would recall that the first batch of 420 Osun pilgrims returned to the country on Saturday July 16th 2022. With the arrival of the second batch Wednesday 20th of July 2022 it means that all the 575 Muslim pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has returned back to Nigeria and united with their respective families.”Hajj Ishola added

He further added that Osun State Pilgrims are the luckiest in this years Hajj exercise as they are the first to complete the hajj exercise and have returned back home safely.

Meanwhile the Administrative Secretary of the board,Mr Bolaji Sanni informed that each of the Pilgrims have collected their 32kg luggage at the permanent Hajj transit Camp Lagos Ikeja.

Mr Sanni said the State had recorded an astronomical progression compared to it past record just as he expressed satisfaction on the smooth running of the affair by the Saudi Arabian government.

He lauded Osun Pilgrims for their peaceful conduct and for displaying high sense of comportment and decorum throughout the exercise.

Mr Sanni then thanked the Governor of the State, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola for his continuous support to the board all the time.
