A celebrity photographer, Toyin Sokefun-Bello, aka TY Bello, has revealed the last wish of late Mrs Ibidunni Ighodalo, wife of the Senior Pastor of Trinity House, Ituah Ighodalo.
Ibidunni died on Sunday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where she had gone to work.
The mother of two, who marked her 13th wedding anniversary in February, was to celebrate her 40th birthday in July.
Due to her personal struggles, she devoted her life to helping couples with fertility challenges through her non-governmental organisation, Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation.
Bello, who was one of her friends, posted on Instagram on Monday a screenshot of the WhatsApp message Ibidunni sent to her.
“Sweetie, it’s my 40th next month and I want to help 40 couples to have their babies. What do you think? That’s all I want. No party, no surprise nothing. I just want to make 40 homes happy,” the text read.
She noted that the message revealed the selflessness of the late philanthropist.
“This is who she was … this was what she had on her mind. She never forgot others going through the pain of waiting even at the very end #IBIDUNNI,” she wrote.
The post drew responses from many of her followers, who lamented the death of Ibidunni.
Some of them, however, asked that Ibidunni’s last wish be granted to honour her memory.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Monday expressed sadness over the death of the former Miss LUX.
Gbajabiamila, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, recalled her contributions to society.
Describing the late Ibidunni “who was a personal friend” as an unassuming and down to earth individual, the Speaker prayed to God to grant her eternal rest.
He said, “It is painful that she had to leave us at this time. I send my sincere condolences to her husband, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, who is a perfect gentleman. At this time of grief, one would only pray God to grant late Mrs Ighodalo a peaceful resting place and her family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
