As the mantle of leadership in Osun State shifts to the People Democratic Party (PDP) tomorrow with the swearing in of the Governor-elect, Sen. Ademola adeleke and the Deputy Governor-Elect, Prince Kola Adewusi, Chairman of the inauguration committee Reverend Bunmi Jenyo has assured that all arrangement have been concluded for the smooth transition
Reverend Jenyo who stated this while speaking with OSBC news on Saturday disclosed that several activities will take place at the Osogbo Township Stadium to usher in a new Governor.
He said “the stage is set to host multitude of PDP chieftains across Nigeria who are coming for the historic event. We’re fully prepared and from what we see around, it is evident that people of Osun are ready for a new era as the PDP takes over the mantle of governance tomorrow.
“Since Sen. Ademola Adeleke was massive elected by Osun people in the July 16 election, we’ve begun preparation for a hitch- free transition and inauguration. Presently, the atmospheric condition of Osun has changed and everybody is expecting to breath in fresh air and I can assure you it’s gonna be a new dawn in Osun.”
Speaking on some activities lined up for the inauguration, the PDP Chieftain said “It’s an official event that no one can alter. The statutory swearing-in and handing over will be conducted by the Chief Judge of the State but there will be other side attractions like cultural display, musical interlude among others to entertain people.” Reverend Jenyo said.
He saluted security agencies on the efforts made to ensure smooth transition, calling on Osun people to remain law abiding as they troop out en masse to celebrate a new dawn in Osun.
