The deputy governor state of osun Mrs Titi Laoye Tomori says achieving gender parity and equality in the country calls for attitudinal change and mindset from the female folk who must recognise themselves as a role model. Mrs titi laoye Tomori stated this while speaking at a program to commemorate this year international women’s day held at the palace of Oloba of Oba ile Oba Kunle Oyeyemi, Tewogbade the first.
This years celebration of the international day for women was marked in a grand style in the state of osun as women of Oba ile a community in Olorunda local government area of the state converged to ponder on the progress made so far as women and to reflect on the best way to consolidate on the achievement recorded so far.
The deputy governor of the state of osun urged women across the globe to stay positive and be focused towards deployment of their God given potentials for the benefit of all and asundry.
Mrs titi laoye Tomori who was grateful to her boss Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for the opportunity to serve in his government to prove her worth and mettle said the time is ripe now for women to use their ingenuity to ensure peaceful coexistence of the society and to support one of their own in ensuring their emancipation in politics.
The Deputy governor maintained that it is not a gainsaying that women in the world all over are talented in the onerous task of nation building, they should use the gift in ensuring proper upbringing of their wards.
This she said will make the society conducive for habitation.
She encouraged to ensure constant medical check up and shun any form of frivolity that could jeopardize their career in life.
In another event, the Deputy governor of the state Mrs Titi Laoye Tomori has expressed the willingness and the readiness of the state government of osun to identify with any institutions or non governmental organization ready to drive home policies of the present government in the state.
Mrs titi laoye Tomori disclosed this while receiving in her office representative of the United State Agency for International Development (USAID).
She commended the organisation for taking the bull by the horn in making meaningful impact in the state and observed with great enthusiasm that the program when fully implemented will complement the effort of the state government of Osun on the provision of functional health.
