The leadership of the Joint Muslim Action Forum,JOMAF, has dissociated itself from a prayer programme purported to have been organised by JOMAF, Ila, Boluwaduro, Ifedayo Federal Constituency for PDP Osun Central Senatorial Candidate, Mr Olubiyi Fadeyi.
In separate responses to the programme, Chairman and the General Secretary, JOMAF state categorically that the leadership of the Islamic body knows nothing about the prayer programme scheduled for Igbonibi Town Hall, Ila, on Saturday, 8th of October,2022.
According to the duo, JOMAF is a non partisan religious body concerned with the growth of Islam and rights of Muslims.
It should be recalled that prior to the July 16 Governorship election in the State, JOMAF organised an “Eye to Eye” programme for all the candidates who contested the election. That showed the extent to which the Islamic body is non partisan.
Warning the purported organisers of the prayer programme not to stain the immaculate garb of JOMAF for personal aggrandizement, the headship made it clear that JOMAF cannot, by any means, supports a non Muslim at the expense of a Muslim.
The statement also warns branches of JOMAF to desist from organising any programme not approved by its headship.
